Consider being a part of the SHRM RGV (Chapter 390) volunteer leadership team by submitting a nomination or self-nomination. We'd be grateful to have your help and would be excited for you to begin your journey as a volunteer leader representing SHRM in our local chapter. Nominees are required to be active (current) members of SHRM RGV.

We welcome human resource professionals to join us in advancing the profession of Human Resource Management. Also, as a volunteer leader, you become a part of the Board of Directors for SHRM RGV. Director roles consist of two-year terms and assist throughout the year with objectives that align with the Chapter's mission.

The Chapter supports the purposes of SHRM, which are to promote the use of sound and ethical human resource management practices in the profession and:

• To be recognized world leader in human resource management;
• To provide high-quality, dynamic, and responsive programs and services to our customers with interests in human resource management;
• To be the voice of the profession on human resource management issues;
• To facilitate the development and guide the direction of the human resource profession; and
• To establish, monitor, and update standards for the profession.

Volunteer leaders have access to the SHRMs Volunteer Leader Resource Center (VLRC) support for the role is available. The center includes Core Leadership Area (CLA) resources, toolkits for member engagement, events and webinars (live or recorded), and more. And, of course, the Board of Directors work together to achieve our goals.
