SHRM Texas Legislative Updates

News Update! On behalf of SHRM RGV's Legislatative Director Dr. Paula Yoder, please take a moment to read the following:

Texas House Bill 88(R) SB17, Section 1, Chapter 50 where Texas legislative leaders tell state agencies to stop considering diversity in hiring making it illegal to have DEI workplace policies in state agency and public universities. Although this may not be impacting private sector employers, possible partnerships may impact collaborative efforts paid by public funding.
