Welcome to the Society for Human Resources Management - Rio Grande Valley Chapter 390.
We are a professional organization that serves the needs of Human Resource Management by providing the most essential set of resources available. We offer many workshops, programs, and resources to help advance the profession and enhance our member's knowledge in the Human Resource Field. Our members represent private and public sector employers.
Our mission is to facilitate the growth and advancement of HR professionals through education, research, and advocacy, build and sustain partnerships between members to add value to their respective organizations, and create a strong network of knowledgeable HR professionals within our community.
SHRM RGV Annual Conference Sponsorship Opportunities Available!

The SHRM Rio Grande Valley Chapter is proud to host its 2026 Annual HR Conference on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., bringing together more than 100 human resource professionals, business leaders, and decision-makers from across South Texas.
This premier one-day professional development event will feature eight dynamic speakers covering today's most relevant workplace topics, providing attendees with the opportunity to earn up to 8 SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and 8 HRCI recertification credits. Participants will gain valuable insights, practical strategies, and innovative solutions they can immediately apply within their organizations.
The conference will conclude with a networking mixer from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., creating additional opportunities for meaningful connections among attendees, speakers, sponsors, and business leaders.
As a conference sponsor, your organization will have the unique opportunity to showcase products and services directly to an engaged audience of HR professionals and organizational leaders. About the Annual Conference
Every year, the Chapter conducts a professional development one-day conference for its members and other non-member guests, providing numerous guest speakers and educational experts to help members continue to grow as HR professionals and business leaders. In previous years the average attendance has been approximately 100-125 HR professionals from both the public and private sectors of the lower and upper Rio Grande Valley.
SHRM Monthly Meeting Sponsorships
One Gold and/or one Platinum sponsor is selected per each monthly meeting, providing exclusive and reserved access to our audience. The sponsor type is vetted so that there are no competing organizations during the meeting. Attendance averages approximately 40-50 attendees with most attendees having HR decision-making roles in business (e.g., HR Directors, HR Managers).

The SHRM Foundation advances global human capital knowledge and practice by providing thought leadership and educational support, and sponsoring, funding and driving the adoption of cutting-edge, actionable, evidence-based research.
The SHRM Foundation's work includes:
- Innovative academic research grants: The SHRM Foundation is a leading funder of HR research. Over the past three years, the SHRM Foundation has awarded more than $1.8 million in grants to fund rigorous, original academic research with practical implications for HR management practice.
- Scholarships: The SHRM Foundation awards $170,000 annually in education and certification scholarships to professional and student SHRM members, and doctoral students.
- Educational resources: The SHRM Foundation's Effective Practice Guidelines series makes research findings easily accessible to HR practitioners. The Foundation has also created a series of educational DVD’s for SHRM chapter programming, staff trainings, and executive education sessions.
The SHRM Foundation is grateful for the generous support of its major donors, the HR Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
To fund its programs, the SHRM Foundation conducts an annual fundraising campaign. The Foundation recognizes the generous support of the SHRM chapters and state councils, individuals, corporations and others who make its work possible.
