Simplified Membership: No more seperate renewals! With dual membership, joining and renewing with our chapter will automatically include your SHRM national membership.

Seamless Access to SHRM Resources: Your dual membership grants you immediate access to the vast array of SHRM national resources.

Strengthening Our Partnership: This formal dual membership solidifies our already strong partnership with SHRM.

Benefits for Dual Membership

• Special Programs: Membership Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month or subject to change. Monthly email invitations are sent to both members and prior members.
• Participants can obtain SHRM and HRCI recertification credits for programs at monthly meetings. Most programs offer a minimum of one (1) general credit hour (activity ID). 
• Exclusive membership directory is available upon request.
• Networking, partnerships, and resources for business and human resource professionals.
• Sponsorship of student chapter members and student volunteers
• Job networking for all members seeking employment or employees

Important Details for Dual Membership

Membership in the Chapter is neither transferable nor assignable. Membership is held in the individual's name, not an organization with which the member is affiliated. 

The DMR program enables us to jointly sell and renew our Chapter membership along with SHRM's membership in one transaction with one profile. To make this program work, the renewal date of your Chapter membership must be aligned to the renewal date you have on your SHRM membership. The SHRM renewal date will be the only renewal date going forward.

This alignment means that on [date] your chapter membership will automatically either be (1) lengthened so that it lasts as long as your remaining SHRM membership; or (2) shortened so that it is as short as your remaining SHRM membership. Depending on how much your chapter membership is lengthened or shortened to align with your SHRM membership, you may receive a credit or an invoice.

Monthly events (meetings with speaker presentations) will continue to have a fee to cover cost of meals and presenters costs. To receive member rates at SHRM RGV monthly meetings, your annual membership must be current.
